Updated on Jan 12, 2013 07:07 pm IST

India's former foreign minister, Natwar Singh has said that the peace process with Pakistan should be halted to send a strong message to Pakistan in wake of its ceasefire violations in Kashmir. Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Saturday, Singh said that India should adopt stringent steps while dealing with Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded international pressure to be put on Hafiz Saeed, accused of masterminding the 2008 Mumbai massacre. Congress Leader, Harish Rawat echoed similar sentiments saying that those responsible for the violation should be brought to book with immediate effect.
