Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday called for raising country's agricultural growth rate from the present two percent to four percent per annum. The PM was delivering the convocation address of the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar of Uttarakhand, where he was conferred an honorary degree in Doctor of Science. He added country's growth would be incomplete if the farmers do not benefit and for that the investment in the agricultural sector needs to be raised.
