Police detain radical outfit members in Kashmir

Police officials today detained members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal in Jammu and Kashmir from commencing the annual Hindu Amarnath pilgrimage in defiance of the government schedule of June 25. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has been adamant on starting the Yatra from Jyesht Purnima which falls on Sunday against the state authorities' schedule of June 25. Bajrang Dal member, Gaurav Mittal slammed the state government for adopting dictatorial attitude against the radical outfit members. Approximately, 1.40 lakh pilgrims have registered for this year's Amarnath pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine located in Kashmir.
