Political clash of opinion over ban on VHP's Sankalp rally in UP

Political parties reacted to the ban imposed by the Uttar Pradesh government on the foundation day celebrations of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Tuesday. The VHP's 'Sankalp Diwas', which is celebrated on October 18, has been banned by the Samajwadi Party (SP) government, fearing a communal flare-up.
