The atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh turned electric on Saturday ahead of the upcoming polls, with political leaders intensifying their campaigns to mobilize their voter bases. Flexing his increasing political muscle in the state's Basti district, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi exuded confidence that his party would have an emphatic victory in the forthcoming polls. Congress General secretary Digvijay Singh too said that his faction was keen on forming the next government on its own without the support of any other party in the state.
