Updated on Feb 18, 2011 08:58 pm IST
Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday said that the letter of apology by senior leader LK Advani was to express regret for pain caused to ruling Congress chief Sonia Gandhi over black money accusations. Advani had apologized in a letter to Sonia Gandhi early on Friday for listing her name in a party report on black money. Addressing media persons in New Delhi, Prasad said an early clarification from Gandhi could have prevented the accusations meted on the party chief.
