R-day celebrations: PM lays wreath at Amar Jawan Jyoti

India's 64th Republic Day celebrations began with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh paying homage to the soldiers at the Amar Jawan Jyoti. He laid wreath and observed a two minutes silence in honour of the fallen heroes. All three service chiefs also paid homage at the war memorial. The PM later received President Pranab Mukherjee and guest of honour, King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Wangchuk at the saluting dais. President unfurled the Tricolour at Rajpath.
