Security beefed up in Mumbai ahead of 26/11 anniversary

Ahead of the second anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, Mumbai city has been turned into a virtual fortress, with state authorities stepping up security and increasing vigilance. Thousands of police personnel have been deployed across the city to guard roads and check any suspicious person or activity. Several patrol units have been set up to increase surveillance in order to thwart possible strikes by sleeper cells of militant groups. Locals have welcomed the move.
