As India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka gear up to host the cricket world cup beginning Feb 19, the official mascot of the cricketing extravaganza, Stumpy is being prepared in Hyderabad. The 10-year-old bluish-grey elephant, Stumpy, has been selected by the ICC as the official mascot because it symbolises the strength to reach goals and eventually win.
