Tens of thousands rally in support of Gaddafi

Tens of thousands of embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi supporters rallied on Friday in Zlitan, one of the only three towns separating the rebel-held city of Misrata from the capital Tripoli. Zlitan, just 160 km from Tripoli, is one of Gaddafi's strongholds. Carrying the green flags and chanting pro Gaddafi slogans, the supporters gathered in the town main square. Gaddafi addressed the crowds via live audio speech and said that the Libyan people rejected the recognition by the United States and other world powers of rebel leaders as the legitimate representatives of the country's government.
