Tense calm follows Assam bombings

An uneasy calm prevailed in Assam, after a string of bomb blasts in quick succession ripped through Guwahati and three other towns of Assam on Thursday. The blasts killed at least 68 people and wounded more than 330. Although the city is slowly returning to normalcy, people on Friday were still shocked at the attacks. Ganeshguri, one of worst affected area in the blast, the otherwise busy area lay deserted.
