Tourists and locals enjoy but also face hardships of heavy snowfall in J&K

While enjoying the snowfall, tourists and local residents are enduring the hardships in various regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Heavy snowfall in the region this year has left locals to bear the brunt of the continuing cold snap as closure of the highway have impeded travel and food supplies. Tourists explained the kind of problems that people in the region are facing due to heavy snowfall and downpour. This year's brutal cold wave and incessant snowfall had also severely disrupted power and water supplies. Ahmed a local resident of Poonch district said that due to heavy snowfall this year, the entire district has been cut off from any kind of communication.
