Traditional art of making lac toys being revived

The Indian market on Wednesday is flooded with Chinese and plastic toys. And it became nearly impossible for these women to preserve the traditional art of making lac toys. So this group of 60 women in Balasore has taken up the task of reviving this traditional art for the past three years and has been able to make a difference. The sale of toys made by them reaches a high point, every year during the Savitri Vrata festival.
