Washington Post calls Manmohan a 'tragic figure'
Updated on Sept 05, 2012 09:00 pm IST
Even as the Time magazine termed him as an 'underachiever', the Washington post targeted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday quoting his dramatic fall from grace in his second term in the office following the slow but steady tarnishing of his reputation. The magazine further quoted “the image of the scrupulously honorable, humble and intellectual technocrat has slowly given way to a completely different one: a dithering, ineffectual bureaucrat presiding over a deeply corrupt government.” Meanwhile, BJP Vice-President, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi lashed out the Congress-led Central Government and Manmohan Singh for allowing corrupt practices right under his nose.
