Yamuna above danger mark, many homeless in Delhi
Updated on Aug 23, 2010 10:10 pm IST
Residents staying close to River Yamuna in New Delhi have become homeless after the waters of the swollen river submerged their houses. People living in low-lying areas were evacuated to safer places, as the volume of water in the river crossed the danger mark. Though residents of some of the shanties close to the banks found shelter on higher ground, others are not as lucky.
