Indian Army & Vietnam Army boost cooperation, focus on U.N missions

Third edition of Vietnam-India bilateral army exercise at Chandimandir, Haryana. Theme - deployment of an engineer company & medical team as part of U.N contingent. The 2 nations have cooperated in U.N peacekeeping, ship visits & bilateral exercises. Exercise a sequel to previously conducted bilateral exercise in Vietnam in 2019. Defence cooperation is a key pillar of the India-Vietnam strategic cooperation. Vietnam an important partner in India's 'Act East' policy & the Indo-Pacific vision. Importantly, both India & Vietnam oppose China's irrational expansionist policies.
