Macron's Powerful drug war message from Mexico to leave Trump stunned amid US Vs Maduro showdown

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and French President Emmanuel Macron held a joint press conference at Mexico’s National Palace, outlining plans to deepen cooperation across security, trade, technology, and cultural ties. Macron addressed questions on the US anti-drug operations in the Caribbean, stating that France supports strong action against drug trafficking — but only when carried out with full respect for national sovereignty and international law. On the stalled EU–Mercosur trade agreement, Macron reaffirmed France’s opposition to the current draft, arguing that it fails to protect French farmers and does not ensure fair competition. President Sheinbaum highlighted growing collaboration with France in sustainable urban development, digital innovation, and renewable energy. She also noted that 2026 will mark 200 years of diplomatic relations between Mexico and France, and expressed interest in the historic Codex Azcatitlan, held in France since 1898.
