‘Awful censorship’: Rana Ayyub's Twitter account ‘restrained’

• Journalist Rana Ayyub's Twitter account has been withheld in India. The journalist posted a notice from Twitter which informed her that the microblogging site has barred her account in India under the Information Technology Act, 2000. In response to Ayyub's tweet, tennis legend Martina Navaratolina said, 'So who is next?!? Just awful.' Former CEO of Prasar Bharati Shashi Shekhar Vempati also reacted to the news and said that the notice by Twitter could be 'either a bug or a delayed reaction to past incidents.'
