Former Finance Minister and Congress’ Rajya Sabha MP spoke during the discussion on the Union Budget 2021 in Rajya Sabha. Chidambaram accused the government of ignoring the plight of the poor people of the country and added that this budget was ‘of the rich, for the rich and by the rich’. The Congress leader also slammed the government for not focusing on increasing demand by putting money in the hands of the poor people and added that the poor people of the country would continue to suffer as the government is not ready to learn any lessons.
