Delhi: Cops detain BJP's Ashwini Upadhyay, 5 others over 'communal slogan' video

- The Delhi Police have detained 6 people including former BJP spokesperson Ashwini Upadhyay in the alleged communal sloganeering at Jantar Mantar matter. Upadhyay had led a protest march on Aug 8 against ‘Colonial Laws’. A video, allegedly from the said protest in which a few people were seen raising anti-Muslim slogans went viral on social media creating an uproar. Delhi Police first registered an FIR against unidentified persons but later detained Updahyay and 5 others. Ashwini Upadhyay had claimed that he doesn’t know the people in the said video & police should probe the matter. Watch the full video for more details.
