- PM Modi said his government has established faith among people that it's possible to fight corruption. The Prime Minister added that his government won't spare those who cheat the nation or loot the poor. PM Modi was virtually addressing a joint conference of CVC and CBI at Kevadia in Gujarat. “Corruption, big or small, takes away the rights of common people. It is a hindrance in the progress of the country and affects our collective energy. In the last six-seven years, we have been able to establish a faith among people. People now believe they can benefit from government schemes without corruption. PM: People now also believe that cheaters are not being spared anymore. The previous governments did not have the will to fight corruption,” he said. “Today's New India innovate, initiate, as well as implement. It is no longer ready to accept that corruption is part of the system. They want a transparent system, efficient process and smooth governance,” he added.
