Elephant crosses flooded Ganga with mahout; 'Hathi mere sathi' moment goes viral

• Amid incessant rains in several parts of Bihar, an elephant was spotted swimming across the Ganges with a mahout on its back. The incident took place in Raghopur area of Bihar's Vaishali district. In the video, a man along with his elephant can be seen trapped in the swollen river. As per locals, there was a sudden rise in water level of river Ganga. At one moment, it seemed like the two wouldn't be able to make it to the shore. However, in the end, the elephant and the mahout are seen reaching a corner of the river where people are seen standing.
