Four Covid patients die in Nagpur hospital fire, PM Modi expresses grief

- At least four died, some others injured after fire broke out in a Covid hospital in Nagpur. Officials said the incident occurred at 8.10 pm on Friday at the hospital located in Wadi area. Around 27 patients were reportedly shifted to other hospitals following the blaze. Four fire tenders were rushed to spot, it took about an hour to bring fire under control. “This is a 30-bed Covid hospital out of which 15 were ICU beds. Patients have been evacuated and shifted to different hospitals,” a police official said. Meanwhile, CM Uddhav Thackeray has ordered an inquiry into the fire incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed grief over the Nagpur hospital fire.
