- BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya strongly reacted to ex-CPI leader Kanhaiya Kumar joining Congress. Hitting out at Kumar, Vijayvargiya said he can only sympathise with 'someone coming out of gutter’. Vijayvargiya’s remark came a day after the former JNUSU president joined the grand old party. Speaking on West Bengal bypolls, the BJP leader said there's no possibility of a fair election. “There is no possibility to have a fair polling in West Bengal by-elections. Polling booths will be captured, voters will not be allowed to come out,” he said. Reacting to Kanhaiya Kumar joining Congress he said, “If someone comes out of the gutter & falls into the drain, I can only sympathise with him.” On joining Congress, Kanhaiya Kumar had termed the party 'the most democratic' one. Kumar had added that if Congress was not saved, the country would also not be saved.
