How Scindia slammed Mamata Banerjee for 'hindering' Kolkata’s new airport plan

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia accused Mamata of delaying approval of the project files related to civil aviation. Scindia said the Centre wants to build a 2nd airport in Kolkata but Mamata’s govt hasn’t provided land for it. “We want to develop a new airport in Kolkata and have been trying to hold discussions. The state govt hasn’t provided land to the Airport Authority of India for the new airport. I want to appeal to CM Mamata Banerjee ji that if you want progress then move the files fast.” Scindia said his ministry has elaborate plans for the development of civil aviation in West Bengal.
