IAF to induct LCA Tejas fighters & retire aging MiG-21s by 2025 I Key details

  • The Indian Air Force is all set to retire one of its four remaining squadrons of aging MiG-21 fighter jets in September, while the other three are scheduled to be phased out by 2025. The decision came a day after two IAF pilots lost their lives in the MiG-21 crash in Rajasthan's Barmer. However, the IAF's decision is not linked with yesterday's crash but is part of an earlier plan to replace the MiG-21s with newer fighter jets like LCA Tejas. Watch this video to know more.
