- With growing Chinese aggression and the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan posing a major threat, India and the United States of America may soon ink a deal for the deadly Predator drones. The Indian Navy is likely to move the Defence Acquisition Council for announcement of the $3 billion deal which will see all three arms of the Indian armed forces possibly getting 10 Hellfire missile-firing drones each. The process is likely to get an impetus given the upcoming 2+2 dialogue between India and US possibly in December. India's defence minister Rajnath Singh and foreign minister S. Jaishankar will meet US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Incidentally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had met Vivek Lall, the CEO of General Atomics which manufactures the drones, during his US trip in September this year. Watch the full video for more.
