Jaishankar flags India’s U.S visa ‘nightmare’: Blinken vows to act fast

- India has raised the issue of visa delays and hurdles in human mobility with the United States, while the US has promised to work on it and promised action within a few months. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken blamed the pandemic for the backlog of visa applications from Indian nationals. He said that the United States had a plan to address it. The reassurance came after he met with EAM Jaishankar. India flagged the challenges Indians have been facing in receiving visas to work & live in the United States.
