Jaishankar raises Cyprus with Turkish FM after Erdogan talks Kashmir at UNGA

- Just hours after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan raked up the Kashmir issue during his UN General Assembly address, India's external affairs minister S Jaishankar brought up the Cyprus issue with Turkiye Foreign Minister. Both leaders held a meeting in the U.S and discusses Cyprus, Ukraine War and changing global order. The ongoing problem in Cyprus began in 1974 when Turkey invaded the northern part of the country in response to a military coup on the island which was backed by the Greek government.
