'Let kids have fun': Sadhguru's alternative to firecracker ban during Diwali

• Spiritualist Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev opposed the blanket ban on fire-crackers. The Isha Foundation founder offered a simple alternative ahead of Diwali. Sadhguru took to Twitter & gave out his message on the eve of the festival. The spiritual leader also extended his greetings to everyone for Deepavali. “Concern over air pollution is not a reason to prevent kids from experiencing the joy of fire-crackers. Let them have the fun of bursting fire-works,” he said. The Supreme Court had said a blanket ban on fire-crackers may not be possible. The top court termed the earlier Calcutta High Court order for a complete ban as extreme. SC said measures ought to be in place to prevent use of toxic chemicals in fire-works.
