Maharashtra BJP MLA's son among 7 medical students killed in Wardha car crash

Seven MBBS students, including the son of an MLA, were killed in Wardha district of Maharashtra in the wee hours of Tuesday when the car they were travelling in fell off a bridge. The incident occurred around 1.30 AM near Selsura village in Wardha district, 77 km away from Nagpur, in east Maharashtra. An official said that all seven students died on the spot. One of the seven students, Avishkar Rahangdale, was the son of Tirora BJP MLA Vijay Rahangdale. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that ₹2 lakh will be given from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each of the seven medical students.
