PM Modi announces 5 new initiatives as Covid makes education sector struggle

PM Narendra Modi launched five new initiatives in the education sector on Tuesday. The PM asserted that the initiatives will play an important role in shaping India's future. He added that the teaching-learning process has to be constantly redefined & redesigned. PM launched Indian Sign Language Dictionary (audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, in conformity with Universal Design of Learning), Talking Books (audio books for the visually impaired), School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers' training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal for facilitating education volunteers, donors or CSR contributors for school development. The PM was addressing the inaugural conclave of 'Shikshak Parv' through video-conferencing. The theme this year is 'Quality & Sustainable Schools: Learnings from Schools in India’.
