Rajnath shuts opposition on Agnipath caste politics; ‘Old system being followed’

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh fact-checks opposition leaders amid caste politics over Agnipath recruitment scheme. Rajnath rejects opposition's claim that this is the first time caste certificate has been asked during army recruitment. The Defence Minister said that it is an old system which has not been changed. The reaction comes after the opposition fired a 'jaativeer' jibe at the Modi government. In a tweet AAP's Sanjay Singh claimed that the Prime Minister doesn't consider Dalits, backwards, and tribal people capable of joining the Army.
