- India has issued an advisory asking its nationals in Canada to 'remain vigilant' against the backdrop of 'a sharp increase in hate crimes, sectarian violence and anti-India activities.' The Ministry of External Affairs advisory read, “In view of the increasing incidences of crimes as described above, Indian nationals and students from India in Canada and those proceeding to Canada for travel/education are advised to exercise due caution." India's caution comes amid a diplomatic row with Canada over a so-called referendum by 'pro-Khalistan', which was held recently in Canada. Watch this video for more details.
