‘There will be a West India company..’: Congress on Insurance Amendment Bill

• Congress lashed out at the Modi government and accused Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman of misleading the house over the provisions of the Insurance Amendment Bill. ‘They have introduced a provision of ownership and control to foreigners. If FDI comes, there will be West India Company brought in by PM Modi to help people from Gujarat,’ Congress MP Mallikarjun Kharge said. He further added that this Bill is also the BJP’s bid to end reservation in jobs.
