  • Former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha joined TMC ahead of the high-stakes Bengal elections. Sinha said tipping point to join TMC was when Mamata Banerjee was attacked in Nandigram. “The tipping point to join TMC was the attack on Mamata ji in Nandigram. It was the moment of decision to join TMC and support Mamata ji,” he said. The Bengal CM, who was admitted to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata, was discharged on March 12. Mamata fell and suffered injuries after she was allegedly pushed by 4-5 unidentified people on March 10. The TMC chief was on two-day visit to Purba Medinipur to file her nomination and campaign.
