Uttarakhand flash flood: Amit Shah gives details of rescue operations

- Home Minister Amit Shah spoke in Rajya Sabha about the flash flood in Uttarakhand. The Home Minister gave a detailed account of the tragedy and the rescue operation that is underway in the disaster hit areas. ‘450 jawans of ITBP, 5 teams of NDRF, 8 teams of Indian Army, a Navy team and 5 IAF helicopters are engaged in search and rescue operation,’ Amit Shah said. Shah added that the Centre had been in constant touch with the state government and all assistance was being provided to them. Shah also said that the Uttarakhand government has apprised that there is no danger of flooding in the lower areas and water level is also receding. Watch the full video for all the details.
