‘Vaccinate protesters & jail inmates’: Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait

• Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has demanded that all protesters who have been camping at the borders of the capital should be vaccinated. He further added that jail inmates should also be vaccinated and details should be released on whether they have been following social distancing. Tikait said that he is also ready to get vaccinated and will lead the way. Farmers have been protesting against the Centre’s farm laws since November 2020. They have been demanding withdrawal of the laws while the Central govt has agreed to make amendments. Several rounds of talks have failed to break the deadlock between the two sides.
