Watch Puri Rath Yatra: PM's wishes; Amit Shah's 'aarti'; no devotees amid Covid

Rath Yatra began in Odisha’s Puri at the Jagannath Temple on July 12. This is the second devotee-less Rath Yatra due to the Covid pandemic. President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Modi greeted the nation on the occasion of Rath Yatra. Meanwhile, Union Home minister Amit Shah offered prayers in Ahmedabad ahead of the Rath Yatra. Like the previous year, the Rath Yatra is being celebrated without the participation of devotees. Strict Covid protocols are put in place with an aim to check the spread of the viral disease.
