Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was questioned by a Surat judge on June 24 over a defamation case filed by a BJP MLA. As per the complainant's lawyer, Gandhi said 'I don't know' to most questions asked, and said that he didn't have a personal knowledge of the issues. The Lok Sabha member from Kerala's Wayanad is in the dock after a controversial speech reportedly made in Karnataka's Kolar during the 2019 election campaign.
