PM Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron are scheduled to virtually inaugurate the Airbus H125 light utility helicopter Final Assembly Line (FAL) at Tata‑Airbus’s facility in Vemagal (Karnataka) on Feb 17, a move being positioned as a major milestone in Indo‑French aerospace industrial cooperation. Airbus has said the India FAL will produce its best‑selling H125 from the civil range for the Indian market and also support exports to neighbouring countries, while framing the project as part of building out India’s wider aerospace ecosystem. The virtual inauguration is also referenced in official/ministerial briefings around the Feb 17 India‑France Annual Defence Dialogue.
