Russia launched a fresh ballistic missile attack on Kyiv on September 24, killing at least two people and injuring six, after a deadly day of drone strikes. The overnight barrage came as Volodymyr Zelensky was in New York for the U.N. General Assembly, where he called for more missile interceptors and tougher sanctions on Moscow. Zelensky had also described Vladimir Putin as “patient zero” of Russia’s war, while warning about the coming winter.
