Russian senator Alexey Pushkov says the U.S. was “clearly unprepared” for a war with Iran and wrongly assumed limited force could quickly coerce Tehran, while claiming Iran had spent years hardening its missile sites and building large drone and missile stockpiles. Pushkov argued that Washington relied on a “misguided belief” that a precise military strike could force Iranian concessions, possibly drawing false confidence from what he described as the U.S. experience with Venezuela.
