In a rare success for Ukraine, two Russian villages witnessed blackouts following Kyiv’s drone strikes that hit power substations in Bryanks and Kursk regions. A hospital in the Kursk region was also forced to run on emergency services as local officials battled to restore power. Zelensky’s forces have increasingly been using drone attacks in Russia and held regions in Ukraine. The strategy follows Kyiv’s summer counteroffensive which reportedly failed to bring desired results.
