‘Jayant Chaudhary not Akhilesh helping SP-RLD alliance in West UP': 2022 Polls

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and his ally, Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Chaudhary have been on warpath trying to consolidate their vote bank in the name of brotherhood and corner the BJP. The two leaders have been campaigning together from Kairana in Shamli to Ghaziabad. In west Uttar Pradesh, experts feel that the SP-RLD victory can be ensured only due to the Jayant Chaudhary factor in the alliance. Experts claim that since Jayant Chaudhary is the face of RLD, which has historically been a farmers welfare party and the sympathy votes due to the death of his father Ajit Singh Chaudhary will help him clinch the trust of the people in West Uttar Pradesh. “It is due to this factor that Akhilesh Yadav is set to benefit more from an alliance with Jayant Chaudhary rather than it being the other way round,” said Yashwant Deshmukh, CVoter CEO and founder.
