VIVO to no longer be IPL title sponsor, negative sentiment around Chinese goods

One of India's largest conglomerates, the Tata Group is all set to replace VIVO as the IPL title sponsor. The TATA Group has an over 100-year old legacy, with operations in 100+ nations across six continents. VIVO, the Chinese mobile manufacturing company had a deal of Rs.2,200CR for title sponsorship rights from 2018-2022. VIVO took a break for one year after the Galwan clashes, with Dream11 replacing the Chinese firm. VIVO were back as the IPL title sponsors in 2021 as speculation raged that they were looking to transfer the rights.
