China has hit back at the U.S after it approved $95 million support to Taiwan’s Patriot Air Defense System. Opposing the third arms deal under Joe Biden administration with Taiwan, China pledged to take firm and forceful measures to resolutely safeguard its sovereignty and security interests. “The arms sale severely encroaches on China's sovereignty, security and development interests, damages China-U.S. relations and endangers peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian. The deal will also include delivering associated equipment, logistical support, and Patriot ground support equipment. Watch this video for more details.
