Putin warns Finland over NATO ambitions, Helsinki defends citing ‘security’

Finland President Sauli Niinistö spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin to inform him about their NATO ambitions. During the telephonic conversation, Niinistö told Putin that they ‘will decide to apply for NATO in coming days’. This after Putin warned that relations between both nations will get ‘negatively affected’ if they went ahead with NATO. Putin has told Niinistö that there are no threats to Finland’s security & it should refrain from joining NATO. Watch this video to know more.
