Russia has claimed to have taken control of more Ukrainian land after the fall of Avdiivka. The Russian Defence Ministry said the Pobeda village in eastern city of Donetsk was captured by the southern unit of the country’s forces. “On the Donetsk front, units of the 'Southern' group of troops liberated the village of Pobeda (and) improved their position along the front line,” the Defence Ministry said in a statement. This comes after Russians took control of Avdiivka – a key city in Donbas region.
