Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh resigned along with his entire government amid the raging war in Gaza. Shtayyeh cited “unprecedented escalation” and the “genocide” in Gaza for his exit. The resignation comes amid growing U.S. pressure on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to reform Palestinian Authority, which partly governs the West Bank, as part of its post-war Gaza plan. Talks are ongoing between Fatah, which controls Palestinian Authority, and Hamas for a unity government for the West Bank and Gaza. INTERNATIONAL NEWS
